Again the same happens live battle between music legends Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Teddy Riley put on hold. On Saturday (April 18), R&B lovers everywhere and with a good internet connection were supposed to tune into an exciting Instagram Live battle. However, after an extremely rocky start that included countless sound and technical issues on Riley’s side, the already much-anticipated campaign is being put on hold once again.
Many people watching even tried telling him how to fix issue in the comments of the Live, but to no avail. People on Twitter didn’t hesitate to share their two cents about the matter, as they voiced their frustrations, as well. The comments riddled with jokes about the two producers’ age Babyface is 62 and Riley is 53 and them not being able to use Instagram.
The battle was supposed to start at 9 p.m., but by 10 p.m. it was apparent the audio needed to fixed, so they stopped and told viewers to come back at 10:30 p.m. But moments after 10:30 p.m., Babyface suggested it’d be better to postpone the battle.”Tonight was extraordinary it’s only right that we postpone this thing and do it at a time when there aren’t any technical difficulties, and everybody can hear the music the way it needs to hear,” Babyface said in an Instagram video.
The battle initially scheduled for earlier this month but postponed due to Babyface and his family getting with COVID-19. He’s now recovered and ready to put on a show for millions. Now may have been Riley’s downfall because all viewers heard playback and echoes whenever it was his turn to play a song. For more entertainment news click here.
