Apple’s “The Morning Show” is coming up with a new actress to their cast. “The Good Wife” star Julianna Margulies has joined the second season of the Emmy-winning series. Julianna will play the role of Laura Peterson, an anchor at UBA News. She published the announcement in an Instagram post early Wednesday.
Margulies is the 4th new cast to the second season of the show along with Greta Lee, Ruairi O’Connor and guest star Hasan Minhaj. Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Bel Powley, Karen Pittman and Desean Terry are all set to return. Production is underway on the second season, though Apple hasn’t set a premiere date for the series.
“The Morning Show” was nominated for eight Emmys and won one for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Billy Crudup. Julianna Margulies is a Golden Globe winner and a three-time Emmy winner for her work on both “The Good Wife” and “ER. She will release her first literary project, “Sunshine Girl,” on May 4, 2021.
