Apple reveals a new 13-inch MacBook Pro is available to order today. The 13-inch MacBook Pro with the redesigned Magic Keyboard, alongside performance and tech spec improvements. It features scissor-switch keys, marking the end of the butterfly keyboard MacBook era.
Apple also focused on changing performance, storage levels, improved memory, and the Magic Keyboard. The most notable change is the addition of the new Magic Keyboard that previously appeared on the 16-inch MacBook Pro and the latest MacBook Air model.

After five years of complaints about the unreliable butterfly keyboard, Apple has transitioned its entire laptop lineup from butterfly to scissor switches over the last six months. The Magic Keyboard features standard inverted-T shape arrow keys, a physical Escape key, and more key travel. The keyboard continues to feature the Touch ID button and the Touch Bar strip, instead of traditional function keys.

Apple also doubled the storage space of the solid-state drive from the earlier production, with the base model now starting at 256 GB and standard configurations going up to 1 TB. Performance has leaped as well, as the 2020 13-inch MacBook Pro lineup features 10th-generation quad-core Intel Core processors with Turbo Boost speeds of up to 4.1 GHz.
The new 13-inch MacBook Pro is available to order on Apple.com and in the Apple Store app, starting at $1,299. The laptop will begin arriving at customers and in select Apple Store locations later this week.
