Away On Netflix From September 4

Netflix, Away Scheduled to release on September 4. The new series is based on a NASA Commander Emma Green leaves behind her husband and daughter to lead an international crew of astronauts on a perilous three-year mission to Mars. The  American science fiction drama web television series, starring Hilary Swank, two times the Academy Award, Best Lead Actress in the movie Boys Don’t Cry and Million dollar baby appears in the title role. She also received two golden globe awards too The series is created by Andrew Hinderaker.

According to the Netflix website the series Away follows “Emma Green, an American astronaut who must leave her husband and teenage daughter behind in order to command an international space crew embarking upon a treacherous, three-year-long mission. It is a series about hope, humanity and how ultimately, we need one another if we are to achieve impossible things.”

The series was set to be written by Andrew Hinderaker, inspired by an Esquire article of the same name by Chris Jones. Esquire is a long-running American men’s magazine. In the United States, it has been published by the Hearst Corporation since 1986, also has over 20 international editions. On June 10, 2018, it was announced that Netflix had given the production a series order for a first season consisting of ten episodes. July 7, 2020, Netflix released the first teaser trailer for the series. On August 10, 2020, the official trailer for the series was released.

The popular motion picture reviewers, Rotten Tomatoes reported an approval rating of 77% based on 13 reviews, with an average rating of 6.65/10. The website’s critics consensus reads, “Away doesn’t reach the stratosphere as a spacetime adventure, but emotional earnestness and a strong cast help make this a compelling enough journey to the stars.” rotten tomatoes published on their website.
