Pop Queen of the millennia Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter celebrating her 39th birthday on September 4th. Texas-born American, Beyonce is also a singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, actress and filmmaker. Her last film debut was the lion king and the last song was Black is king released in the last week of July.
She became the first music act to debut at number one with their first six solo studio albums on the Billboard 200. She achieved back-to-back widespread critical comments for her sonically experimental visual albums, Beyoncé (2013) and Lemonade (2016); which was the world’s best-selling album of 2016 and the most acclaimed album throughout her career, exploring themes of infidelity and womanism. She is widely credited for the cultural shift towards female pop singers rapping and for creating the staccato style of ‘rap-singing’.
She is also one of the world’s best-selling music artists and sold over 100 million records worldwide within a decade which makes her recognized as the Recording Industry Association of America’s Top Certified Artist of the Decade, as well as Billboard magazine’s Top Radio Songs Artist and the Top Female Artist of the Decade.
She is the most nominated woman in the Grammy Awards history and has the 2nd most wins for a woman with a total of 24. She is a feminist and black lives activist. She took her stand in both the pay gap and gender discrimination. During every black lives matter campaign, Beyoncé actively stays in front of her community.
In 2013, She made the Time 100 list “No one has that voice, no one moves the way she moves, no one can hold an audience the way she does … When she does an album when Beyoncé sings a song when Beyoncé does anything, it’s an event, and it’s broadly influential. Right now, she is the heir-apparent diva of the USA – the reigning national voice” Baz Luhrmann wrote about Beyoncé. She appeared on the 2014 list again on the Time 100.
May she, the voice of the millennia reach the Zenith of her fortune. Happy birthday Queen…!
