Singer and songwriter Sam Hunt were arrested for allegedly driving the drunk wrong way on the parkway at Nashville on Thursday morning.
The 34-year-old singer was charged with DUI and open container violation, clarified from the online court records.
He was also granted $2,500 as a bond.

The driver had difficulty in finding his ID to show officers, and attempted to give both credit card and passport instead of his driver’s license — but that card sat on his lap, warrant said.
Sam Hunt was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the stop. He allegedly accepted to consuming alcohol “recently,” the warrant said.
Sobriety tests were conducted in the field, which was captured on an MNPD dash cam, according to the warrant
Hunt allegedly tested with a blood alcohol level of 0.173, well it’s over the legal limit of 0.08.
Hunt was booked into Davidson County around 6 a.m. Thursday and released just after 9 a.m., says jail records
He has been scheduled for a hearing on Jan. 17. It was not suddenly clear if he had retained legal representation.
A four-time Grammy Award nominee, Singer Hunt published his UMG Nashville debut, “Montevallo,” in 2014.
The album went triple platinum in the United States, boasting top-charting country singles such as “House Party” and “Take Your Time.”
In 2017, Hunt revealed the crossover hit “Body Like A Back Road,” which spent almost 34 weeks topping the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
Hunt debuted his latest single, “Kinfolks,” in October.
