Johnson returned to work on Monday after been cured of Covid-19 in March. The leader spent three nights in intensive care in early April, and he recovered later.
Symonds had previously twitted that, even she was getting symptoms for the same.
Symonds, 32, had a political career and was part of a campaign team that raised to get Johnson re-elected as Mayor of London in 2012.
The British Prime Minister has four children from his previous marriage.
