After 19 years, The September 11 attacks (9/11 attacks) still bring back the memory of the agony and lose. On September 11, 2001, the Islamic Terrorist group attacked the United States which resulted in 2,977 deaths. 9/11 is the single deadliest attack in human history. Many celebrities like Hugh Jackman, Gerard Butler conveyed their support to the survivors.

Four passenger airliners departed from the Northern United States were hijacked by terrorists. Two of the planes crashed into the North and South Towers and within an hour and 42 minutes both buildings collapsed.

All the suspicion fell on al-Qaeda and though Osama binLaden initially denied their involvement, later in 2004, he claimed responsibility for the attacks.

Celebrities posted on Instagram and Twitter remembering the 9/11 incident. 

Many Celebrities from around the globe wrote through social media. Gerard Butler wrote on Twitter honouring the heroes, first responders and survivors and all those died. He wrote “I’ll always remember the strength & courage of those on the frontlines. We are seeing that courage again today w/ their response to the pandemic & fighting fires on the West Coast.”

Australian actor Hugh Jackman wrote on Instagram “We will always remember 9/11.”

American actor Chris Pratt wrote on Instagram “May we honor the fallen with our continued defense of liberty, one nation, under God, indivisible. May we continually pursue a more perfect union. And may we never forget, not only the fallen, but the values for which we stand, lest their death be in vain.”

American actress posted on Instagram writing “I love nyc, my heart broke on 9/11, and I’ll never forget what it felt like to find my way home from school and the thoughts that were in my head and have never left. But we are still standing, and I am inspired by our resilience to come back from a tragedy as decimating as 9/11 was, and I hope we can work together to come back from our current tragedy in the same way. I am grateful for the things we still have and the strength we can find from knowing we will stand together.”

Reese Witherspoon wrote on Instagram conveying her support to the affected families and people. She wrote “Today we honor and remember the fallen victims and heroes of 9/11. My thoughts are with all the families and friends who experienced unimaginable loss.”

American actress Jennifer Garner wrote “19 years ago, but it feels like yesterday. I honor the lives lost and the hearts broken. And I remember, wistfully, the feeling of national unity in the days, weeks and months that followed.”

Many other celebrities wrote conveying their support.
