Chennai Super Kings captain seems to be in trouble in selecting today’s playing eleven. MSD’s most trusted player is injured and is not sure whether he can appear for today’s game against Rajasthan Royals. CSK’s death over specialist Dwayne Bravo injured during their last match against Delhi Capitals.
In the previous match, CSK failed against DC in the last over, in the absence of their death over specialist Jadeja was assigned to bowl, but DC player Axar Patel trashed Jadeja for 3 sixers and a double leading DC to victory. “Bravo was not fit, he went out and was really not able to come back. That was the reason we had to bowl (Jadeja). The option was between Karn and Jaddu so I went ahead with Jaddu. Maybe not enough.”- MSD said in the post-match presentation.
CSK coach Stephen Flemming had said it would take a few days or weeks for Bravo to recover. “Bravo seems to have a right groin injury, obviously it was serious enough to keep him from coming back to the field, he’s just really disappointed that he was unable to bowl the final over… it’d take a few days or a couple of weeks (to recover),” Flemming said.
Today CSK will play against RR, for both teams, it’s a “Do or Die” match. The winning team will be having slightest chances for the playoffs. MSD will be in trouble to find another death bowler in this important match. Josh Hazlewood, Tahir, Ngidi are other bowling options before CSK skipper. Tahir hasn’t played any match in this season so he may be given a chance to play.
