The iPhone 12 will feature a high refresh-rate 120Hz ProMotion display, Or at least, only on the iPhone 12 Pro phones that’s the high-end 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models according to rumours.
For 2020, it has suggested the Pro models of the “iPhone 12” could offer something different, in the form of a high refresh-rate display. Apple will use a ProMotion display on the Pro model releases for 2020. Leaked images of iPhone 12 come in four different variants cheaper than iPhone 11.
iPhone 12 display
If true, this would mean the higher-specification 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models will be able to switch between a 60Hz and 120Hz display mode similar to the iPad Pro’s version of the technology, but the 5.4-inch “iPhone 12” will have a standard 60Hz display. Because of the increased power requirements for a higher refresh rate, iPhone 12 Pro will also have a larger battery compared to its predecessor.
Note that the new smartphone will also support 5G, which will add to the power requirements. ProMotion offers a few advantages, including the smoother movement of items on-screen when engaged at 120Hz. At the same time, the switching of refresh rate will allow the iPhone to go down to lower prices to conserve power.
Regarding the camera, Apple is improving low-light photography with faster auto-focus and improved image stabilization. Smart HDR upgraded to reduce noise in dark environments as well.
The new LiDAR scanner may use to enhance auto-focus further. It’s also speculated that the LiDAR sensor will improve the accuracy of Portrait Mode photos. The leaked video also reports that the telephoto zoom is getting upgraded from 2x to 3x, allowing users to get closer to subjects without resorting to digital zoom.
