Brad Pitt Will be Joining On Indiana Jones 5

Another Indiana Jones movie hitting the theatres on 2022. The upcoming movie is in the banner of Disney. The Wolverine and Logan Director James Mangold will be the director of the movie.  While Spielberg, Marshall, and Kathleen Kennedy are producing.  John Towner Williams returning to compose the score. It is scheduled for release on July 29, 2022.

Frank Marshall has affirmed that the film will be a sequel, and in May 2020, said that writing had “just started”, despite multiple drafts having been worked on by different writers. Disney CEO Bob Iger has indicated that the film will not be the conclusion of the franchise as a whole.

 Lucas was researching potential plot devices and stated that Spielberg was open to the idea of the fifth film. Soon after by October 2012, The Walt Disney Company acquired Lucasfilm, thereby granting Disney ownership rights to the Indiana Jones intellectual property. Following that in December 2013, Walt Disney Studios purchased the distribution and marketing rights to future Indiana Jones films, with Paramount Pictures receiving “financial participation” from any additional films.

Even after that disney started the homework to bring Indiana Jones to screen, for that by March 15, 2016, Disney announced that the fifth film would be released on July 19, 2019, with Ford reprising his role, Spielberg directing, Koepp writing and Kennedy and Marshall acting as producers. In June, Spielberg confirmed that Lucas would return as executive producer, despite Deadline Hollywood having reported otherwise.

Spielberg also announced that John Williams would return to compose the score. By mid-2017 the official Star Wars website updated the film’s release date to July 10, 2020. Shocking to the entire fans and the production house, In February 2020, Spielberg stepped down as director, stating that he wanted to “pass along Indy’s whip to a new generation to bring their perspective to the story”.James Mangold will direct the film, while Spielberg will remain attached as a “hands-on” producer. It was reported that the film’s release date was delayed to July 29, 2022, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
