After their Incredible Eiffel Tower engagement photos went viral, Ellen DeGeneres amazed fiancées Kate Austin and Sarah Sulsenti with her Presence on talk show Tuesday.
In the viral tweet of their proposal, Austin tagged DeGeneres and Chrissy Teigen to try and search someone to walk her down the aisle, describes, “my parents aren’t going to attend my wedding because they don’t like that I’m gay!”
Though DeGeneres told that she wouldn’t be able to attend their wedding (providing a cardboard cut-out of herself instead as a “stand-in”), she didn’t forget to give the women the words of encouragement.

“Everybody deserves love, that’s all the matters in this life is love,” she said. “And the fact that your family doesn’t accept it, I am so sorry.”
Austin also revealed how DeGeneres has influenced and encouraged her.
“If it wasn’t for someone like you, I wouldn’t have had the courage to go out in the public and propose to my fiancée,” she added.
“You’ve paved the way for queer women everywhere. And it’s just the most inspiring thing.”
She continued that her siblings are supportive of her, but her mother has “said everything you could think of under the sun” since she came out five years ago. But in spite off being her mom “really terrible,” Austin says she doesn’t regret coming out.

“Owning it and growing over the last five years has been like the greatest gift,” she added. “I’m so thankful that I came out because it’s taught me like courage and owning who I am, and it allowed me to be my authentic self.”
The talk show host also brought them a wedding gift as yet another surprise: a huge gift box full of their family and friends.
The even bigger astonishment? Sulsenti using the chance to make proposals to Austin in front of their loved ones and “biggest role model.”
“The way you feel today is the way you make me feel every day, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life feeling that way,” Sulsenti told before getting down on one knee. “Will you be my wife?”
“Congratulations,” Degeneres said to crying and shaking Austin after the proposal.
She added, turning in front of the audience, “so for Kate and all the people out there who are not accepted by their family, you are loved by so many people and we love you for who you are exactly… So for anyone struggling out there, just be proud of who you are.
After another apology for not being able to attend the wedding, Degeneres amazed the couples with a check for $25,000.
