Ethiopia needs ventilators and U.S. ready to send

U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted, “Just spoke to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali of Ethiopia. His Country needs Ventilators, and the U.S. is in good position to help him. We will!”.

The United States President Donald Trump said on Saturday that he spoke with the Ethiopian Prime Minister about the U.S. sending the ventilators to this African Country. The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales.

These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air, and quickly fall on floors or surfaces. You can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within close proximity of someone who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth.

Ethiopia is currently under a five-month state of emergency declared earlier this month to fight the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The Council of Ministers led by PM Abiy Ahmed announced the measure following which lawmakers confirmed it on April 10. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali of Ethiopia requested ventilators from U.S. and U.S. president tweeted that we are in an excellent position to help Ethiopia; we will help them; it resembles ventilators have been ready to send to Ethiopia.
