Facebook Mass Logout: Reasons revealed!

Recently Facebook was at gunpoint for executing an unexpected mass logout! This freakish act from Facebook, which took place on 22nd January 2021, Friday in fact caused troubles to many users leaving them clueless and perplexed.

Soon after facing a cluster of complaints from its users, Facebook came up with an authentic and satisfactory explanation. According to the reports of USA TODAY, the company came forward and responded to the series of accusations against them.

“On January 22, a configuration change caused some people to be logged out of their Facebook accounts,” the company told USA TODAY Saturday. “We investigated the issue and fixed it for everyone earlier today. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.”

To quote the statement by Facebook, “We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble accessing Facebook. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.” – Facebook Company Spokesperson.

Along with the mass logout crisis, many users were even notified with a message alert saying “session expired.” Thus the so-called mass log-out led not only to questions but immediate conspiracy theories as well.

As the topic trended on Twitter, Facebook made no mention of it on their official handle. Some users were not only dumbfounded but complained they couldn’t log back in because they didn’t know their passwords.

This was even followed by a series of memes and trolls mocking the Facebook company for their alleged mismanagement of the app causing insecurity in the customers.
