Recently Matthew Perry aka Chandler Bing sort of spilled the beans on when the long-awaited F.R.I.E.N.D.S reunion could take place. Recently a tweet from “Friends” star Matthew Perry gave the pandemic-afflicted reunion special a status update. But when is it scheduled to be released? Well, here’s the answer!

After months of delays due to the novel corona virus, it appears HBO Max has solidified a new production schedule for the “Friends” Reunion Special. Rumors of a Friends reunion gathered pace after Jennifer Aniston posted a photo of the cast together last year.

According to Matthew Perry, who starred as Chandler Bing in the hit series, the reunion will start filming in March 2021. The actor tweeted: “Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March. Looks like we have a busy year coming up. And that’s the way I like it!”Within a few minutes, fans of the show flooded the comments section with GIFS from the show. Comments like “Could we be any happier?” and “Can’t wait,” kept popping up.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S Reunion to take place soon!

His co-star David Schwimmer had said in July that they were hoping to begin filming but things had been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Schwimmer, who played Ross Geller on the beloved sitcom, had told Jimmy Fallon that they had to “wait until it’s safe.”

Though it was initially planned to be released in May, this year, COVID pandemic has forced the crew to reschedule it for 2021.It was supposed to be an exclusive unscripted special on the streaming platform HBO Max.While some fans have suggested the possibility of a virtual reunion special, the show’s six stars and producers are all calling for an in-person reunion.

Undoubtedly F.R.I.E.N.D.S is considered as one of the most popular sitcoms ever. The show first aired in 1994 and ran for 10 superhit seasons. 25 years later, it’s still a hit on streaming platforms.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S made stars of its six principal actors – Jennifer Aniston as Rachel, Courteney Cox as Monica, Lisa Kudrow as Phoebe, David Schwimmer as Ross, Matthew Perry as Chandler and Matt Leblanc as Joey. The sitcom followed the lives of six friends living in New York as they navigated personal and professional joys and tribulations, much of it converging around a coffee shop named Central Perk.

Over its 10-year run, the sitcom received nominations for more than 60 Primetime Emmy Awards, 10 Golden Globes, 14 SAG Awards and 11 People’s Choice Awards.All 236 episodes of “Friends” are currently available for streaming on HBO Max.

Also, according to the recent reports, the reunion special will air on HBO Max which is owned by CNN’s parent company, Warner Media.lot in Burbank, California — where the series was filmed on a regular schedule from 1994-2004.
