Search, and rescue teams were rapidly transmitted, including divers and helicopters scanning the lake from above. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department declared that Naya rented the pontoon boat for an afternoon of swimming, but never got out of the water with her son.

While Josey found wearing a life vest, it presumed Rivera was not as an adult-sized one on the boat. Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Eric Buschow told that investigators arrived at the scene around 4:40 p.m. and found a toddler “safe,” but we’re still seeking for the mother, who they did not quickly identify.

Buschow said of Josey, “He’s in good health. The family is going through a very traumatic time right now.” Following the distressing news, fans took to social media with a flow of support for the star and her family.
