Godzilla vs Kong makers has finally unveiled its first theatrical trailer before just two months of its release in theatres and on HBO Max. The trailer shows the much-anticipated conflict between the two Titans and further reveals the reason for their clash. A sequel to Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong is the long-awaited continuation of Legendary’s Monsterverse. Reprising their roles in the film are Millie Bobby Brown and Kyle Chandler.
Here is the official description about the movie; “Legends collide in “Godzilla vs. Kong” as these mythic adversaries meet in a spectacular battle for the ages, with the fate of the world hanging in the balance. Kong and his protectors undertake a perilous journey to find his true home, and with them is Jia, a young orphaned girl with whom he has formed a unique and powerful bond. But they unexpectedly find themselves in the path of an enraged Godzilla, cutting a swath of destruction across the globe. The epic clash between the two titans—instigated by unseen forces—is only the beginning of the mystery that lies deep within the core of the Earth.”
The trailer begins with Kong in chains before showing off scenes from the battle aboard military aircraft carriers. The trailer positions Kong as the hero and Godzilla as the villain. Throughout the trailer, Kong keeps his dominance over Godzilla in fight scenes too. Kong’s face punch over Godzilla is accepted as the mass scene by the Kong fans. The trailer displays how the city is laid to waste and inhabitants rushing to save themselves in the beginning. The narrator announces that the only one who could save humanity from the apocalyptic onslaught is Kong. Kong had grown larger and it had been teased that he was still growing in his debut film, so here we could actually see him in full form

The trailer itself only shows off three battle sequences: the one aboard the military aircraft carriers, one, seemingly set in the past, featuring Kong, and what looks to be the final battle between the titular characters in a neon-lit cityscape. In one of the scenes, Kong appeared to be using a new weapon against Godzilla. Godzilla fans argue the involvement of Mechagodzilla who is making the destruction and Godzilla is mistaken for his activities. Whereas Jonah (Charles Dance) and the eco-terrorists needed to present the Earth again to the Titans, Godzilla vs. Kong’s villains seem to share a hatred for the creatures. The weapon they’ll use to perform their aim is presumably Mechagodzilla, a basic Toho monster whose inclusion was spoiled by a toy leak.
The movie trailer had made way to discussions and debate over Kong and Godzilla. To know the true story we must wait till March 26th. The movie also stars Alexander Skarsgard, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Eiza Gonzalez, Shun Oguri, Jessica Henwick, Demian Bichir and Julian Dennison in the essential roles. Penned by Terry Rossio, Michael Dougherty and Zack Shields with a screenplay by Eric Pearson and Max
