“House of the Dragon”: HBO releases the First look at the Dragons in Game of Thrones Prequel

The much-awaited prequel of Game of Thrones “House of the Dragon” will begin its production next year. The first concept art of “House of the Dragon” was revealed by WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar and he gave the fans a first look at the fire-breathing beasts of the show.

Earlier In October 2019, the American premium cable and satellite television network had announced Game of Thrones prequel. The upcoming prequel will depict the story of 300 years before the “Game of Thrones” that is about the Targaryen kings who had long ruled Westeros. The prequel will be filmed primarily in England rather than Northern Ireland, the location that the original series famously used for the majority of its eight-season run. The story is based on George R.R. Martin’s 2018 book “Fire & Blood”.

English actor Paddy Considine has been cast in the leading role of King Viserys I, the father of Rhaenyra and Aegon II, on “House of the Dragon. Viserys was chosen by the lords of Westeros to succeed the Old King, Jaehaerys Targaryen, at the Great Council at Harrenhal. Known as a decent man, Viserys wants to carry forward his grandfather’s legacy, but that doesn’t necessarily make for a great king.

Game of Thrones, an American fantasy drama television series which is one of the most-watched seasons of television ever was nominated for 32 awards and won best drama series at the Emmys back in September. The final season of the series beat out “NYPD Blue,” which had 26 nominations in 1994 and overall full eight seasons of “Game of Thrones” has nabbed 161 nominations overall.
