Apple is manufacturing its flagship phone in Foxconn’s Chennai plant. Notably, the first time that Apple has brought manufacturing of its flagship phone to India. The plant, which has earlier managed the iPhone XR and the original iPhone SE, signifies the iPhone11 range has been made in India.
Apple also sells China-made iPhone 11 handsets in India. Now, the iPhone 11 manufacturing in India for the vision government’s Made in India hope. Foxconn in iPhone production
Foxconn Industries Limited is headquartered in Taiwan. Foxconn, a Chinese smartphone maker in India, manufactures phones for Xiaomi in Andhra Pradesh. Apple has demanded that Foxconn shift some of its iPhone production out of China as the US-China trade dispute escalates.
Foxconn will invest $1 billion to expand its factory in Tamil Nadu, over three years and opening of 6,000 new jobs. The same plant also manufactured the previous generation of the iPhone SE before it was discontinued, and the plans to make the latest generation iPhone SE in India source says.
The SE comes along with a 4.7-inch display resolution, bigger than first-generation iPhone SE, with high graphics and rich rituals. The A13 Bionic processor benefits computational photography, portrait lighting effects, and depth control.
Apple has Foxconn, Wistron, and Pegatron as suppliers for its iPhone models. Reports say In Future Pegatron, will make some investments to set up a local subsidiary in India
