IPL 2020: Super “KINGS” rises over the “SUN” risers

In the 29th match of IPL 2020, Finally, the “SUPER” Kings are back. CSK made an amazing victory of 20 runs defending 167. The Sunrisers was not able to reach the mark even though Kane Williamson scored a fifty. CSK gained a valuable 2 points and still, they remain at the 6th position of the point table.

CSK won the toss and decided to bat first against SRH. CSK made a change in the opening slots replacing Sam Curran with Watson. Chennai started off with a blow as Faf du Plessis was sent back by Sandeep Sharma right on his first ball. Sam punishes Khaleel Ahmed as he scores 21 runs in an over. The young batsman was made clean bold by Sandeep Sharma in the following over.
The new opener made 31 out of the 21 balls faced.

Then the innings was steadied by Rayudu with Watson. Both players scored 42 and 41 runs respectively and got departed by the 15th and 16th over. The cameo roles by skipper Dhoni and Jadeja made the team reach a good total of 167 with the fall of 6 wickets. The skipper scored 21 runs out of 13 balls which included a “Long travel” sixer of 102 meter. Jadeja made 25 runs of the 10 balls faced.

For the SRH side, Sandeep Sharma made an amazing spell consuming just 14 runs in 4 overs. Sandeep along with Natrajan and K Ahmed took 2 wickets each. In the 2nd innings by SRH the openers were struggled by the CSK seamers. CSK made an impact over SRH through Sam Curran dismissing Warner.

In the next over SRH lost Manish Pandey by an amazing direct hit runout by Bravo. Kane Williamson made a beautiful 57 out of the 39 balls. But he loses partnerships as CSK keeps on picking wickets at regular intervals. SRH was in need of 21 runs but they were unable to do it. Bravo lets in only 1 run in the final over picking up 1 wicket.

CSK bowlers did a good job especially Karan and Bravo picked up 2 wickets each while Jadeja, Shradul and Sam contributed with one wicket each.
