Isabelle Fuhrman, who played the duplicitous orphan girl Esther, will reprise her role in the upcoming prequel to the film. The new film titled “Orphan: First Kill,” which is directed by William Brent Bell and is in production now in Winnipeg, Canada. Julia Stiles will also star in the Prequel.
In the first part of the movie “Orphan”, Isabelle Fuhrman played Esther, an Eastern European child adopted by parents the role played by Peter Sarsgaard and Vera Farmiga. Esther was not a child at all, but an adult woman with primordial dwarfism masquerading as a nine-year-old. She made her attempts to split up her parents and eliminate her siblings all the more sinister and unforgettable.
Fuhrman will return not only as a star but also an associate producer on the project. The movie is scripted by David Coggeshall. Dark Castle Entertainment and Entertainment One will mount the production. Dark Castle’s Alex Mace, Hal Sadoff, and Ethan Erwin are producing with James Tomlinson. The original film’s screenwriter, David Leslie Johnson, will serve as an executive producer with Jen Gorton. Josie Liang will oversee the movie for Entertainment One.

Fuhrman will next be seen in “Escape Room 2,” set to release in January 2021, and she’s also starred in “The Hunger Games” and “Masters of Sex.” Stiles recently starred in “Hustlers” and on the series “Riviera.”
