“100% LATINXCELLENCE on our Directing and AD Team for season 2 of @gentefied baby!!!! This is the first time I’ve experienced this in my 20 year career and it is a whole-ass mood. The first time I even imagined this as a possibility was after being on an @ava set and seeing Black artists in every single position- camera operators, hair and makeup artists, PAs, craft services, production design. It was like walking into a magical wonderland and I will forever feel such gratitude to Queen Ava for paving the way and making what felt impossible a beautiful reality! We have many more beloved Latinx crew members not pictured here including our DP, Casting director, Production designer, Costume designer, Caterer, 99% of our cast, and more…! Special shout-out to our Creators, Showrunner & Directors @elmarvinlemus & @lindayvettechavez for imagining this wonderland and making it real! And thanks @netflix for letting us do it! Your dreams are valid and you belong anywhere and everywhere you want to be! by our Latinx set photographer,” posted the actress.
