Luis Suárez Leaving Barcelona

Lionel Messi shared his emotional note to his fellow player in Barcelona Luis Suárez on his Instagram.

“I had been getting the idea but today I entered the locker room and the card really fell. How difficult it is going to be not to continue sharing the day to day with you, both on the courts and outside. We will miss them so much. It was many years, many mates, lunches, dinners … Many things that will never be forgotten, every day together.

It will be rare to see you with another shirt and much more to face you. You deserved to be fired for what you are: one of the most important players in the club’s history, achieving important things both as a group and individually. And not to get kicked out as they did. But the truth is that at this point nothing surprises me.

Barca announced on Wednesday they had agreed on a deal to sell the former Liverpool striker Luis Suárez for just £5.5million.

The 33-year-old  Luis Suárez move is subject to agreeing on personal terms and a medical, Atletico added in their own statement.

Luis Suarez held a press conference on Thursday to formally bid farewell to Barcelona, and he sent an emotional message to the club and fans.

He said: “It was such a surprise. I didn’t really have anything prepared. I want to say the club has always had so much confidence in me since 2014 when they signed me.

“The conditions that I came here, they surrounded me with the mistake I made with the confidence they always had in me.

“It wasn’t always easy to accept this. The coaches and my teammates, which they accepted me when I came it was amazing.

“All the people know the sacrifice I made to come to Barcelona and to play for the best team in the world.

“I’m aware that we are at the end of an era but I should be very proud of everything we’ve done.

“Thank you to all the fans for supporting me, cheering me on from day one. The support of everyone I’ve had, from everyone inside the Camp Nou, the staff, a massive effort from everyone.
