The “Good As Hell” singer shared the video of her presenting her mom Shari Johnson-Jefferson with a car on Instagram, along with an emotional caption.
“ remember crying in my car when my daddy passed, no job no money nowhere to live, wishing I could one day provide for my family.” the flutist penned, “I couldn’t do it for my dad so ima make sure I spoil Mama. Happy holidays y’ all.”
In the video, Lizzo to give her mom a surprise made her walk eyes closed heading towards the driveway, where her Christmas gift new vehicle was waiting. Shari burst into tears with joy.
After smooching and thanking her daughter, Shari said. “ You see these on television but you never expect it to happen to yourself,” walking towards the car.
Fans just loved Lizzos heartwarming love for mom. One wrote in the comments. “ That people is what you do with all your hard work! Take care of your parents.. Especially if they took care of you!.”

As per CBS The Morning in January Lizzo while attending a music scholarship at the University of Houston music scholarship studying classical flute program, her father died in 2009.
Griefing on her father’s loss the rapper said, “ I didn’t feel like I had a purpose for being a musician or anything. So that turned into, Oh, can I sleep on your couch, and that eventually, I got really guilt-ridden, So all I had was this car, It was a Subaru,” she said. “That was my home for a little I spent Thanksgiving in that car, and I remember I cried myself to sleep.”
On last New Year’s Eve, Lizzo looking back at the past 10 years could note the changes in that period of time. She followed that up with an update highlighting some of her accomplishments achieved since then: “ 2019 is the year my album and song went #1. 2019 is the year I told my mama I can buy her a house.”
