Meizu 17 launch date confirmed on May 8. The Meizu 17 launch is becoming quite the saga, but at least there’s now an end in sight. The company revealed its new flagship smartphone would arrive on May 8, as the previous date turned out to be an announcement of the announcement.
The Meizu 17 is going to have ultra-thin bezels, one front-facing camera in a punch hole in the upper left corner, and what appears to be a flat-screen display. Meizu was one of the first companies to reveal its flagship will have the Snapdragon 865 – the announcement arrived back in December when Qualcomm announced the chipset.
Aside from that, we expect to see some fast charging, four cameras on the back, lined up horizontally, and likely a 90Hz OLED panel. The rather small punch-hole camera design in the upper-right corner seems pretty impressive. And, of course, it will sport an under-display fingerprint on the front.
Another significant bit is that the phone will support the so-called smart 5G tech that announced earlier. The rest of the rumored features are 90Hz OLED panel, quad-camera setup on the back, and 30W fast charging for the non-Pro version and 65W for the Pro. For more tech news click here.
