In the 26th match of IPL Rajasthan Royals made a comeback to its winning streak through Tewatia and Parag. Rahul Tewatia’s uncanny ability to win tricky games rescued Rajasthan Royals from falling to the 5th failure. Royals had made a five-wicket victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
By the early 12th year Royals were at the verge of failure losing 5 wickets in 78 runs. Tewatia along with Parag lifts the game back for Rajasthan Royals. Tewatia, who became a household name with five sixes in an over against Kings XI Punjab, smashed an unbeaten 45 off 28 balls as Royals overhauled the 159 targets sparing one ball.
Parag made the victory by smashing Khaleel Ahammed for a sixer over extra cover. Parag scored 42 out of 26 balls and remains the pillar of victory. Tewatia brought back memories of the Sharjah night by punishing Rashid Khan for three Consecutive Boundaries.
Tewatia also smashed Natarajan when the team was in need of 22 in 2 overs. He smashed a boundary and sixer and made the match in favour of Royals.
Earlier Manish Pandey scored an impressive half-century but the royals restricted Sunrisers to a total of 158 for 4 with amazing bowling. Manish Pandey along with Captain David Warner (48 of 38 balls) built a partnership of 73 in 10 overs. Rajasthan bowlers managed to make 42 dot balls, which equals 7 overs without any runs. After the wicket of Bairstow, Manish and Warner lifted the team back to track. Williamson along with the young man Priyam Garg hit harder to grab a total of 158.
By this victory Rajasthan now reached 6th position in the point table with 6 points, thus keeping their playoff dreams alive.
