Scrubs (comedy-drama) actor Sam Lloyd dies at the age of 56 after battling with a malignant brain tumor his agent said.
His death was confirmed on Friday by his show’s creator Bill Lawrence via twitter saying, “Thinking a lot about Sam Lloyd today (Ted). Truly such a kind sweet guy, He will be missed by so many.”

Apart from acting, Sam Lloyd was an accomplished singer with the Cappella group ‘The Blanks.’ Lloyd’s television career included characters in “Desperate Housewives,” “The West Wing.” “Cougar Town,” and the style of Ricky on Seinfeld. He also played the bass guitar “The Beatles,” according to his agent. He also played a role in films like “Flubber” and “Galaxy Quest.”

The actor Zach Braff tweeted, “Rest in peace to one of the funniest actors I’ve ever had the joy of working.” He added, “Sam Lloyd made me crack up and break character every single time we did a scene together. He could not have been a kinder man. I will forever cherish the time I had with you, Sammy.”
Lloyd diagnosed with a malignant tumor in January 2019. Weeks after his wife Vanessa gave birth to their first child, West. Woefully, cancer deeply merged so that surgeons couldn’t operate it.
Being an accomplished singer with the Acappella group, his co-star Braff proudly shared on his Twitter page on Friday following the news of his death.
