Slum Dog Millionaire’s Irfan Khan passes away at 53

The All-time favorite star, who starred in Slumdog Millionaire and Life of Pi Irfan Khan, died on Wednesday at the age of 53

“It’s saddening that this day, we have to bring forward the news of him passing away,” his rep said in a statement (via CNN) “ Irfan was a strong soul,” someone who fought till the very end and always inspired everyone who came close to him.

Khan was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumor in 2018. According to CNN, Khan was hospitalized in Mumbai earlier this week and admitted to the ICU due to colon infection.

After hearing the heartbreaking news, his friends and fans paved their tributes through social media.

“ The world will always remember your legacy #irrfankhan,” Priyanka Jonas wrote in a message on Instagram, “ You fought like a warrior. Rest in peace, my friend…My condolences to the family.”

“ Rest in peace, one of the greatest actors of our time, Irrfan Khan,” Riz Ahmed tweeted.” I never met him, but he was an inspiration and a here to me and millions of others. Hos work was consistently transcendent, and he was guiding light for so many of us.”

Two months after Khan was diagnosed with cancer, he wrote an open letter about his experience with cancer treatment, reflecting on the “ intensity” of his pain and the “uncertainty” of life.

His death is outpouring grief for his friends and fans; he was an excellent actor known for both acting and film making.

It is the second disaster to his family, earlier four days back, his mother died, but he couldn’t attend the funeral because of Lock down amid the coronavirus pandemic.

He is a significant loss in the film word!
