2020 has been a remarkable year for marriages in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic. One such anticipated couple was Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson who exchanged their vows a few days back. Following this meritorious ceremony, a further confirmation has come from Colin Jost who is captured fondling with his Wedding Ring during his latest episode in SNL the other day. The news about their marriage was announced through a post from Meals on Wheels, which was coupled with the declaration of their “wedding wish” to call attention to the charity.
After his marriage with Scarlett Johansson, earlier this week in a private and intimate ceremony, the recent episode of SNL was his first to exhibit his ‘Marriage status’. The well-known American Comedian and the writer of SNL was recently found married with the famous American actress Scarlet Johansson in a simple yet elegant ceremony with their dear and near ones.
Colin Jost’s ‘Wedding Band’ gave a visual treat for the SNL audience!
During this week’s Weekend Update segment, the SNL host flaunted his new jewelry while delivering some jokes. Colin Jost seemed extremely delighted to be wearing his gold wedding ring, and this was further subjected to a healthy sarcasm when his co-host and friend, Michael Che, needled him about his recent nuptials. Michael Che even found a golden opportunity to nag his fried Colin Jost while he spoke briefly about their marriage:
“I don’t know what this world’s gonna be after Tuesday,” Michael explained of the upcoming presidential election. “I may never see you again, Colin. I mean, we might both get drafted in the race wars. It’s not fair, you just married Scarlett Johansson. And I just bought an electric bike, we’re both doing equally great.”
The latest episode was concerned with the hotly debated US Presidential Elections 2020. While he was satirically attacked by his co-host about his wedding ring Jost, without dodging away from his focus, playfully utilized the weapon of sarcasm to attack Trump’s recent activity on the campaign trail where he claimed to supporters at a rally that doctors make more money from coronavirus patients. He also took a jab at news that some Trump supporters got hypothermia after being left on a tarmac and highlighted a recent study from Stanford that alleges Trump’s rallies have led to 30,000 new coronavirus cases and 700 deaths.
“That means he’s officially killed more people across the Midwest than Jeffrey Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy combined,” Jost mocked.
The “Weekend Update” segment of the show concluded with an unabashed endorsement of Joe Biden, noting that Americans “cannot do” another Trump term.
