The movie, based on the novel by Evan Roskos titled the same revolves around the life of sixteen-year-old James Whitman,played by Lucas Jade Zumann who struggles to overcome anxiety and depression by seeking advice from Dr. Bird. In his magical realism inspired world, he also strenuously attempts to solve the mystery of the disappearance of his sister, after an altercation with their parents.

As far as the filming session of the movie was concerned, this was something that Lucas posted once in his Instagram page:

“Dr.Birds Advice for Sad Poets

Two years ago today, we wrapped the shoot of this, technically challenging, emotionally taxing, and physically exhausting project… ‘I am James Whitman, I am light…”

This echoes the fact the project had its roots since two years which means the amount of prepping and work that has gone behind the project would be massive and brobdingnagian! This very truth in fact augments more and more room for imagination, fostering the anticipation level of the fans to be at its peak!
