The lovers of ‘Lover Fest’ have to wait long. The singer announces that her remaining shows are carried forward to the next year.
In her tweet, she goes,” I’m so sad I won’t be able to see you guys in concert this year, but I know this is the right decision. Please, please stay healthy and safe. I’ll see you on stage as soon as I can, but right now, what’s important is committing to this quarantine, for the sake of all of us.”
Lover Fest West was scheduled on July 25th and 26th in the new NFL venue SoFi Stadium. Swift would have been the first woman to open an NFL Stadium. Lover Fest East was scheduled on July 31 and August 1 in Massachusetts.
Tickets will transfer to the new show date. Refunds will be starting from May 1, subject to Ticketmaster terms.
“Fighting COVID-19 is an unprecedented challenge for our global community, and the safety and well-being of fans should always be the top priority. Health organizations and governments around the world have strongly discouraged large public gatherings for an undetermined period. With many events throughout the world already canceled and upon directions from health officials to keep fans safe and help prevent the spread of COVID-19, sadly, the decision has been made to cancel all Taylor Swift live appearances and performances this year.”
Swift fans are waiting to see her for the final time in 2020 on the Lady Gaga show “One World: Together At Home” airing on April 18, Saturday.
