The Fuji TV Anime Lineup Unveiling 2020 event revealed that The Promised Neverland anime’s second season will premiere on January 7, 2021, via Noitamina. Earlier the show was slated for the October release, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was delayed. The Promised Neverland Season 2 will still be brimming with tension from mind games and psychological horror, but now the story will be much more action-oriented.

The Netflix release date is yet to be confirmed. The first season of the anime series first began streaming on September 1, 2020. Even Though the fans are eagerly expecting Netflix U.S. to start streaming the second season in spring 2021.

The anime is an adaptation of the original manga series. Season 1 had covered up to Chapter 37 of Volume 5 and there have been reports that the next instalment will cover around 64 chapters. The Promised Neverland Season 2 is a necessity for all anime fans wanting to know what happens next after Emma, Ray, and the other children who escaped from Grace Field House into the demon forest. In the second season, they want to focus on whether Emma will be able to keep the promise that she made.

TPN director Mamoru Kanbe had earlier said that adapting the manga’s story will definitely be a “challenge”. Earlier Platforms Crunchyroll, Hulu, Funimation, and HIDIVE streamed The Promised Neverland in January 2019 as it aired. Then, Toonami streamed the anime in April 2019. The series had also won Best Soundtrack and Best Drama during the 6th Anime Trending Awards.
