Top Cricketers Pays tribute to Dean Jones

Former Australia batsman Dean Jones, 59, has died of a cardiac arrest in a Mumbai hotel,  Jones was here with the Star Sports’ commentary team for the Indian Premier League. The player’s death is confirmed by IPL broadcasters Star Sports.

Many of the Top cricket players and IPL team’s shared their tribute. Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Ravi Shastri, David Warner, Aaron Finch and many more.

The greatest player of cricket Sachin Tendulkar pays his tribute for Dane at Twitter “Absolutely heartbreaking news about Dean Jones passing away. A wonderful soul taken away too soon. Had the opportunity to play against him during my first tour of Australia. May his soul rest in peace and my condolences to his loved ones. Folded hands”.

Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag says “saddened to hear the news of Dean Jones passing away. Still cannot believe it. Was one of my favourite commentators, he was on air in many of my landmarks. Had really fond memories with him. Will miss him.”

The Indian skipper also shared his condolences on Twitter. Indian captain wrote, “Shocked to hear about the tragic loss of Dean Jones. Praying for strength and courage to his family and friends”.

Australian player Steve Smith wrote at Instagram “Awful to hear the news of Dean Jones passing away in Mumbai. He was a wonderful player for Australia and he will be missed. My thoughts are with his family. RIP Deano”.

Indian cricket team coach and former indian player Ravi shastri also shares his condolences on twitter. Shastri wrote “Really shocking to lose a colleague and a dear friend – Dean Jones. Gone so young. Condolences to the family and may his soul rest in peace ”.

Australian player David Warner wrote on twitter “I can’t believe this news. So very sad to hear about this. Rip Deano, you will be missed.”

Australian player Aaron Finch wrote at twitter “Still in shock hearing the news of Deanos passing. Thoughts are with Jane and the family at this incredibly tough time. A great man with an amazing passion for the game.”

Chennai Super Kings wrote “Absolutely devastated to hear about the demise of Dean Jones. A colossal loss to the cricketing community. His connection to Chepauk will always be cherished. Deepest condolences to his family and friends. May his soul rest in peace.”

Jones had played 52 Tests and 164 ODIs for Australia and was part of the 1987 World Cup-winning team. May the Legend’s soul Rest in Peace!!
