American actress and producer Viola Davis popular for her roles in “Suicide Squad”, “How to Get Away with Murder” posted on Instagram sharing her gratitude towards US Open Tennis Winner Naomi Osaka for using her platform to highlight victims of injustice.

To each of her seven matches, Naomi Osaka wore a mask with the name of a different Black person who was a victim of police brutality and injustice. Naomi is getting praises around the world for her stand against police brutality and racial injustice.
Viola Davis posted on her Instagram writing congratulations to her win and thanking her for her decision to use her platform to highlight the injustice happening in the country.

Congrats on your US Open Victory, Naomi Osaka!! Thank you for using your platform to highlight victims of justice!!” Viola wrote.
Professional Japan tennis player who won the US Open Tennis this year, wore 7 different masks for her 7 matches. In her first match, Osaka wore a mask with the name of Breonna Taylor, who was killed in gunfire on March 13. In the second match, Osaka honoured a mask of Elijah McClain’s name on it. Elijah McClain was also a victim of racial injustice.
However following this victory, Osaka announced she won’t be playing French Open this Year, which left her fans disappointed.
Osaka wore a mask during the match with Ahmaud Arbery’s name on it. Ahmaud Arbery aged 25 was killed by two white men – a father and son. For her fourth match, Osaka wore a mask with the name Trayvon Martin. Trayvon Martin was shot dead by Mr Zimmerman.
Trayvon’s mother thanked Naomi for representing Trayvon Martin’s name on her customized mask.” Naomi wore a mask with the name of George Floyd in her next match.
