The Royal Challengers Bangalore undergoes a terrific loss against KXIP for the second time in the 2020 IPL. The skipper Kohli is being trolled widely for the decisions he made in the previous game against KXIP, especially for the decision to demote De Villiers in the batting order.

The openers Aaron Finch along with Padikkal had given a good start for the team, but the following batsman was unable to maintain the momentum thus lost thus failed in scoring 200 runs which is an average score at Sharjah. In the earlier matches Kohli had made good partnerships with De Villiers, but last day he wanted to keep a right hand-left hand combination going in the middle, which is why he demoted de Villiers from number four to number six. Dube and Washington Sundar received a promotion as per Kohli’s left-Right combination.

In the post-match skipper said about the demoting of AB De Villiers “We had a chat (AB batting at no, 6) and there was a message from outside about the left-hand, right-hand combination. Sometimes these decisions you make, don’t come off. We are pretty happy with the decisions we took but sometimes it doesn’t come off.”- Kohli said.
