Walmart has declared a bonus to refresh employees who have taken care of their company during Pandemic. Expanding to that, Walmart also announces a holiday on Thanksgiving day.
The bonus details are as follows: $ 300 for full-time workers. $ 150 for part-time and temporary employees. Stores, clubs, distribution centers, filling centers, drivers, managers, and assistant managers, health and well-being, will receive bonuses. Roundly about $ 428 million for the bonus said in the statement.
Employees who are eligible for the bonus will have worked until July 31. Approximately August 20th salary with bonuses will be available to employees as the bonus will be added to their August salary. Last June Walmart announced it never longer selling “All Lives Matter” merchandise on its website.
Holiday for Employees
In a note, CEO John Furner mentioned stores would close for the last days of holiday to come out of tradition and in near to black Friday. The closure of the store during the holiday shopping season has come as a shock. “We know holiday shopping will be different this year, and we will be managing sales events differently,” Furner wrote.
“Our best ideas come from our associates. This year we have decided to close our stores on Thanksgiving Day – November 26,” the idea of closing for Thanksgiving day from Kevin Carlyle employee who works at a store in Round Rock, Texas. “We want you to enjoy the day at home with your loved ones.” Furner tweeted.
This is the first time in recent years that Walmart has closed its stores during holiday shopping. Shopping Giant expects its employees to spend some time with family during Pandemic .
