The movie ‘Addams Family’ is returning for the second instalment. The animated supernatural comedy by MGM is set to be released in 2021. The Addams Family franchise took on a new direction with the 2019 computed-animated movie, featuring the voices of Charlize Theron, Oscar Isaac, Finn Wolfhard, and Chloë Grace Moretz, among many other stars. Despite mixed reviews, it was an enormous box office success, grossing $203 million worldwide against a $24 million budget. Surely enough, that considerable success immediately led to the announcement of a sequel.
The animated comedy first part showcases the family members, Morticia, Gomez, Wednesday, and Uncle Fester, as they display their love for the bizarre and out rightly grisly. The second part of the movie will pick up where the first part left off. The second part of the movie will be as entertaining as the first part. However, there is little information on the specific plot of the second part of the movie. It is however rumoured that the Addams are getting entangled in new abnormal adventures involving weird characters. For the exact storyline, we must wait till the movie release.
Earlier MGM gave audiences their first look at the sequel in the form of a new teaser announcement and posters. The movie will feature star actors such as Charlize Theron, who voices Morticia Addams, Oscar Isaac voicing Gomez’s role. Chloe Grace Moretz voices the role Wednesday. Nick Kroll voices the role of Uncle Fester, and Snoop Dogg, voicing the role of Cousin It.
The movie Addams Family 2 will be directed by Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon, and the duo worked on the first part of the film together. It was produced by MGM, who bought rights to the Addams Family story and characters by Charles Addams and distributed by Universal Pictures. The movie is expected to release on October 21, 2021.
