COVID-19 kills nearly 40,000 in the US but China’s position is not credible. The number of deaths in the United States due to the Corona virus has risen to more than 38,900, and the number of infected people has exceeded 734 thousand, according to the latest statistics of “Johns Hopkins University” on Sunday. The United States is the most affected country in the world and ranks first in the number of deaths and infections.

New York State, the worst-hit area in the United States, has recorded 13,157 deaths so far due to the outbreak of Corona virus. Johns Hopkins University data showed on Saturday, 29,980 new infections recorded in the country, and at least 3,700 people died. According to the university’s data, Corona virus has caused the deaths of 160,700 people worldwide and infected 2,328,000 people so far. European countries, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, and Britain are also considered the most affected countries, after the United States, from the outbreak of Corona virus.

The novel Corona virus is ten instances extra lethal than swine flu which caused a worldwide pandemic in 2009 the World Health Organization said, calling for management measures to lift “slowly”, AFP reported. “We know that COVID-19 spreads fast, and we know that it is deadly, ten times more deadly than the 2009 flu pandemic,” WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus advised a digital briefing from Geneva. The US is the highest number of virus cases and deaths of any country in the world.

President Donald Trump has expressed his doubts over the official Chinese figures on the number of deaths in their country due to the novel Corona Virus pandemic, claiming that the fatalities were way ahead of the US. Trump’s comments come two days after another 1,300 deaths a to the official count in the city of Wuhan, where the outbreak started. The revision puts China’s overall death toll to more than 4,600.

According to Trump, when highly-developed healthcare systems of the UK, France, Belgium, Italy and Spain had high fatality rates, it was O.33 in China. The president asserted that the actual number was much more than the official Chinese death toll figures, which he said were “unrealistic”. To know politics news click here.
