The OnePlus 8 series is now officially launched and been more than a day. At this point, it is a dream come true for all Android fans out there, as they have everything they love in this series.
The OnePlus 8 was built basically to beat iPhone XI Pro, the finest version of the iPhone series. When the finest versions of two series come together, the competition in the market comes face to face. But what are the bullets fired by OnePlus to hunt iPhone? Will it take the shot or miss its target? Why experts have a second thought?
The price of OnePlus 8 is $599, whereas iPhone XI Pro comes in $699. Even though OnePlus is comparatively lower in price, it is the highest in the OnePlus series. They have increased from midrange to high end…but have they presented it accordingly?
The design is commendable in OnePlus 8. It is slim and lighter and has a small camera bump but still not small with a 6.55-inch size.
The iPhone XI is heavier and only comes in palm-size with a 6.10-inch.
The display of OnePlus 8 is fluid AMOLED for deep contrast and resolution is 1080×2400. The fluid 90 Hz refresh rate makes it so more responsive. It has a fingerprint scanner that is small and thus can miss while placing your finger.
The iPhone XI is LCD and has a lower resolution 828×1792. It has a 60 Hz refresh rate, and speed is low. It has a face lock setting, which makes it more secure.
Now coming to the performance, OnePlus 8 uses Snapdragon 865. It has 12 GB RAM and uses the latest version LPDDR4X, which is 20% faster and UFS 3.0 storage. It has a better WiFi range and 5G, which is going to be a revolution after two years.
The iPhone XI uses A13 Bionic, and it sinks along well in gaming and watching videos and uses LPDDR5 RAM.
The most important for some of the users is the camera component. Both OnePlus 8 and iPhone XI have an ultrawide camera and do not have a telephoto camera and do not support zoom cameras as well.
The OnePlus 8 has a 16MP ultrawide camera, 48 MP main camera and has a 2MP macro camera where the macro camera does not possess good quality. The daylight photos are sharper and crispier in OnePlus, and the OnePlus team themselves has compared night photos in their OnePlus 8 launching event.
The iPhone XI has a 12 MP ultrawide camera and a 12 MP main camera. The iPhone XI has a more dynamic range. Focus on delicate objects that make OnePlus 8 blur and iPhone XI bang on target.
Both have Dolby Atmos dual speakers interesting the gamers and movie buffs.
The OnePlus 8 has a 4300 mAh battery and a 30W charger, whereas the iPhone XI has a 3100mAh battery and a 5W charger. It takes 3 hrs for a full charge.
But the iPhone XI becomes more efficient, and the battery stays long.
The OnePlus 8 lacks wireless charging and necessary IP certification. The iPhone is IP 68 certified.
It comes down to a tough call and doubts whether OnePlus has fallen from Apple’s juggernaut. For those people who prefer brand values, advanced security, and fame, Apple is the best pick, and for those who are Android fans and loves special features, what else is required!
